The Restoration Assessment Suite™ is a research-informed collection of assessments developed by the Restoration Psychology Institute™ to evaluate the psychological processes associated with restoration. Designed for education, research, organizational development, and personal growth, the suite provides structured insight into how individuals move through the restoration process while supporting continued theory development and assessment validation.
PURPOSE:
Why the Restoration Assessment Suite™?
Understanding restoration requires more than measuring symptoms or well-being. The Restoration Assessment Suite™ was developed to assess the psychological capacities, processes, and contexts that contribute to restoration across diverse life experiences.
Rather than assigning labels or diagnoses, the assessments provide meaningful information that supports self-reflection, research, education, and practical application while advancing the scientific study of Restoration Psychology®.
The Restoration Assessment Suite™ is grounded in the principles of Restoration Psychology® and the 5R Restoration Model®. Each assessment is designed to measure distinct but interconnected aspects of restoration while maintaining a strengths-based, research-informed approach.
The suite is intended to support both scholarly investigation and real-world application by translating theoretical concepts into measurable psychological constructs.

What Are You Carrying?™
The What Are You Carrying?™ assessment is the foundational self-assessment of the Restoration Assessment Suite™. Based on the 5R Restoration Model®, it helps individuals identify areas where restoration may be needed by increasing awareness of the psychological, relational, and environmental burdens they are carrying, providing a meaningful starting point for reflection, education, and personal growth.

The Backpack of Life™ Audit helps individuals examine the nature, weight, and composition of the burdens they are carrying. Rather than measuring restoration directly, this audit identifies the psychological, relational, and environmental burdens that may be influencing an individual's capacity for restoration. By increasing awareness of what is being carried, the audit provides a foundation for deeper reflection, greater self-understanding, and more intentional movement toward restoration.

Restoration Readiness Assessment™
The Restoration Readiness Assessment™ helps individuals evaluate their preparedness to intentionally engage in the restoration process. Rather than measuring restoration itself, this assessment explores the attitudes, motivation, willingness, and perceived capacity that influence a person's readiness to take meaningful restorative action. By identifying strengths as well as potential barriers to engagement, the assessment provides a foundation for setting realistic goals, increasing restorative capacity, and approaching the restoration journey with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

The Restoration Ecosystem Audit™ helps individuals examine the internal and external conditions that influence their capacity for restoration. Rather than measuring restoration directly, this assessment identifies the psychological, relational, environmental, organizational, and lifestyle factors that may either support or hinder restorative capacity. By increasing awareness of the environments in which restoration occurs, the audit provides a foundation for making intentional adjustments that cultivate healthier systems, strengthen restorative capacity, and create conditions that better support long-term restoration.
